These things are true. They are true regardless of who is president. They are true regardless of what the supreme court does. They are true regardless of how high your taxes are, whether the freedoms we’ve enjoyed remain the same or are impeded upon. These things are true whether you were ever born, whether the United States was ever a country. None of those things determine the truthfulness of these things. And this is solid ground we can stand on - this is truth to walk in! So much more could be said, but this is a start. We believe these things. 

Jesus Christ is still the Lord of the universe with absolute authority (Matthew 28:18)

The Kingdom of God will continue to advance until every enemy of God is put under the feet of Jesus (1 Corinthians 15:25, Isaiah 9:7)

God will accomplish all his good and wise purposes (Psalm 33:10-11, Isaiah 46:9-10)

Jesus will continue to build his church unimpeded (Matthew 16:18)

The gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16)

Jesus is the Judge of all the earth and no injustice will ultimately go unpunished (Acts 17:31)

God will work all things for the good of those who love him, even the worst that evil people mean for our harm (Romans 8:28, Genesis 50:20)

God is for us. God is for you! And if he is for you, who can be against you? (Romans 8:31)

If you belong to Christ, nothing can ever separate you from his love. Ever! (Romans 8:37-39)

Your most important citizenship is in heaven. (Philippians 3:20)

We have a mission to complete which is to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19)

We are ambassadors of Christ, with an urgent appeal that estranged sinners be reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:18-20)

God’s truth abides forever (Isaiah 40:8) → These things we believe will be true tomorrow and next year and a million years from now.

We believe these things. Amen.
